Usage of Articles in RFX projects[edit]
Articles which already exist in the Article Database can be used inside of a RFX project or you can create new lines inside a grid which will be automatically sent to the database as well.
Copy articles in a RFX project[edit]
Articles existing in the Article Database can be used inside of a RFX project, for grids. (Please see the RFX Buyer guide for RFX projects creation and grids).
- To add a new article to your current project to a grid, select edit mode for your grid, and click Insert line items from products.
- In the pop-up window you will be able to see and select articles from the list found in the Article Database as well. *Select one or more articles and click Copy Article in Grid in order to add them to you current grid.
- The fresh inserted lines will appear in your grid. The catalog to which the articles correspond to will be modified according to the Business Unit selected inside the RFX project.
Update articles from a RFX project[edit]
By creating new lines in your grid you will add new ones in the Article list found in the Article Database.
- To add a new line to your grid, click Insert empty lines.
- Set the number of lines you wish to create and click Apply.
- The fresh inserted lines will be displayed in your grid and you will have the possibility to create their characteristics according to the criteria previously set.
- Articles created by you in the grid, will be displayed / updated in the Article list and will have the characteristics set by you, inside the RFX project. Grid.
- Article Database -> Article list.
- You will have the possibility to:
- See the characteristics of the new added article; click Open folder. You will have displayed and available the same tabs as for an article created directly through article Management.
- Copy the article; click Copy.
- Access the RFX project through which the new article has been updated in the database:
- Click Export symbol to export an article template to be imported.
These articles created through an RFX project will be activated with the Awarding, if the user has selected (checked) the option “Activate Article by Awarding” from Backoffice -> Customizing -> Settings -> Article Management Settings.
