Introduction[edit]

In CAT V1, Product prices can be updated :

  • By the supplier only
  • using a mass excel import feature.

There is no way to update prices online.
Once the changes are uploaded by the supplier, a comparison report allows to check (on buyer view as well as on supplier view) the price deviation from current price to new price.
Buyer can then accept or reject ALL OR NOTHING of the changes : there is no way to accept only some products. Only when buyer approved the changes, prices are visible in webshop and updated in pending shopping cart (of course provided price start date is not in future)

Accepting or rejecting price changes[edit]

When the supplier uploads a price update file and click on INFORM BUYER, all catalogue administrators from the platform are notified.
The relevant catalogue administrator for this supplier will then connect to Catalogue System > Catalogue Management. In Catalogue list, catalogues for which changes are pending are marked with a second icon next to the open catalog icon, on each row.
Search for your catalogue and click on this second icon to see the price comparison report. As for supplier side you can:

  • Filter by deviation threshold
  • Filter only price increases or decreases
  • Accept or Reject all or no changes : no partial acceptance is possible

Once changes are accepted:

  • Supplier is notified by email
  • new price are available in web shop (provided start date not in future) but existing PR or PO, even in early statuses are unchanged

Once changes are rejected:

  • Supplier is notified by an email, containing the reject reason
  • All changes for this catalog are deleted : supplier will have to start over, even if only one price was incorrect. We anyway assume a supplier and a buyer agree on prices before doing any software update action.
