Introduction[edit]

Copy settings allows the admin user to copy the general settings of a platform (Source) to another one (Target). Hence, user doesn't need to manually go to the target platform and manage the settings.

Version Support[edit]

Copy Settings functionality is supported in the internal system of SynerTrade from release 4.2.

Roles[edit]

The required role for accessing the Copy Settings in the source platform and continuing it on the target is "Super Admin".

Backoffice Settings[edit]

The settings are available in:

  • Backoffice> CWB>> Copy Settings

User should select the source platform from "System URL" and enter his/her credentials. On the target platform part, the target platform should be selected and again credentials be entered. Then the user should click on "Download and validate general settings". After that, a report with all the available backoffice settings is displayed. In this report, all the apps and their settings pages inside backoffice are listed and the number of settings inside them are shown. Among these shown settings, in the other columns, importable and not importable settings as well as equal and not equal settings are shown.

  • Importable Settings: are the ones that can be imported to the target platform.
  • Not Importable Settings: are the settings that cannot be imported to the target platform.
  • Equal Settings: are the settings that are similar in both platforms.
  • Not Equal Settings: are the settings that are not similar between the platforms and the copy process will align them.

The data under each of these columns are clickable. Upon clicking on one cell, a detailed report for that setting is opened. In addition, using the buttons on top of this new report, helps displaying details of all the four mentioned columns for that setting. By the drop-down above the list, user can select any settings page (which appeared on the first report) and see this detailed report page.

  • It is recommended to export the list of settings before copying, as later there would be no evidence of the target platform settings before copying.

By clicking on "Copy" button, the copy process starts and a message confirms that the settings are copied. User can see that the target platform has the same settings as in the source.
